Hi! I’m Ruth. I’m a mother of three, a chicken keeper and a student living in the beautiful Shuswap area of British Columbia. I am currently taking a multimedia journalism course at Thompson Rivers University while working toward a Bachelor of Psychology. My multimedia project is inspired by living in a rural area and the experiences gained from being surrounded by nature. I’m interested in everyday moments, particularly the connections between people, animals and nature, and how they teach and shape us. I’m drawn to hard news, investigative journalism, as well as photojournalism and enjoy sharing stories that capture real and meaningful moments.
